Amy is a senior-level marketer at a major global conglomerate of consumer brands with several major career “wins” behind her introducing existing brands to new regions, and reviving “classic” brands in new markets. As she thought about what might come next and how she may want it to come outside of her existing division, she wanted to be positioned as broadly viable a candidate as possible. We worked to gather to arrange her achievements as comprehensive business successes with major top and bottom-line impact, not as more narrow market development achievements or brand revivals.

Bob came to Amy as a college senior with a background in engineering.  After doing a successful externship for a tech company that improved the ability to reach and interact with customers digitally, he became interested in consulting opportunities that would allow him to exercise his problem-solving skills for customers.

We worked together to position his tools and stories so that they focused on the specific quantitative and qualitative analytical skills that consulting firms look for. He learned how to do case interviews and what consulting firms look for in behavioral and technical interviews.  After graduation, Bob received multiple consulting offers and is excited to start with a specialized financial technology consulting firm.

Helena studied to become a technical writer at university and wanted to move into a technical writer role, but many entry-level positions called for one to two years of experience. Through active networking and applications in the California Bay area, she secured an internship with the potential for permanent hire in a department that supported technical writing. Her focused resume, networking, and excellent work at the internship landed her exactly the role she wanted at the perfect start-up. Her short-term investment paid off quickly.

Craig came to me seeking to leverage his skills in consumer software used for creativity in music, design, and the arts into a role where he would use those same tools to support curriculum design in the company’s growing K-12 education area. We focused on showcasing his long history of developing curriculum for community, camp, and local engagement products to demonstrate how his skills would easily translate into education curriculum, as well as his long history of exceeding goals in every capacity. He is now well-positioned for a cross-sector move from retail into education.

I’m so happy that Ella landed a job that seems like an amazing opportunity for her. Thank you for being a fabulous job coach! I think you gave her the direction, confidence and backing she needed to make this happen. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
