About Amy

Amy Feind Reeves is the Founder and CEO of Hire A Hiring Manager, where she leverages her 25+ years of experience as an executive and hiring manager to help professionals at all levels of their careers find and keep jobs that make them happy. Her corporate consulting practice focuses on career coaching for Millennials and Generation Z, as well as consulting on practical approaches to implementing improved Millennial and Generation Z management practices. As a career coach, Amy helps her clients, at whatever career stage they are in, explore and define their career paths by providing them with the skills and resources that they need to make successful transitions.

As a highly sought-after expert, speaker, and career coach, Amy works globally with clients across various industries, including finance, consulting, media, consumer products, technology, and health care. Her functional expertise-gained from nearly two decades of working with companies and organizations to reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve processes-is significant across all areas of business operations.

Before focusing full-time on coaching in 2012, Amy held various positions, including a commercial banker, global management consultant, entrepreneur, corporate executive, and non-profit executive. Her long-held passion for supporting others in their careers comes from the difficult time she had found her way after college and when she needed to quickly change careers after finding herself a single mother. She has become an author to expand her reach and passionate advocacy for people seeking to find their paths to success in the professional world.

Amy's book, college to Career, Explained: Tools, Skills & Confidence for Your Job Search, debuted in July 2022. It provides straightforward strategies and common-sense tactics to help job seekers transition from college to career. Using a proven methodology and unique insight that only someone who has sat on the other side of the interviewing table for many years can provide, College to Career, Explained is ultimately for the young professional or new grad looking for career guidance or the more seasoned professional looking for pointers or to brush up on basics.

Committed to helping improve her community, Amy was a board member of The Philanthropy Connection, a women’s collective giving organization, and an organizational development advisor to the founding Board Chair. She established a model for young women executives to become philanthropists, which has been replicated in other similar organizations. She mentored many young women to help them reach their highest potential. 

Amy supports the Anaya Tipnis Foundation in scaling its operations nationwide and developing their career services workshops. The Foundation offers scholarships, mentoring, and support to first-generation college students and provides internship and networking opportunities. Amy also serves as a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy of Massachusetts, where she supports staff development and oversees the conservation and preservation of land and water in Massachusetts.


Other Relevant Experience

As A Banker:

Responsible for an $850 million portfolio of corporate and project loans in the oil and gas and extractive industries.  Key participant in financing gold mines, solvent extraction plants, cogeneration, and geothermal projects.  Grew fee revenue each year from clients in a ten-state region on the West Coast that included three major oil companies.

As A Global Management Consultant:

Worked with executives at the national steel company of Argentina to retrofit their plants to produce higher grades of steel prior to the implementation of the common market that eliminated tariffs on imported steel from Brazil. Identified and helped develop Pacific trade markets.

Developed economic analyses for a Canadian cellular phone provider to identify revenue and profit models for acquiring and retaining customers in a period of double-digit monthly growth.

Redesigned and implemented a logistics chain for a chemical manufacturer whose products were ultimately used in consumer products. For major retailers with EDI capabilities, linked to production in real-time.

As an Entrepreneur

Co-founder of a consulting firm based on helping organizations develop customer relationship management strategies to improve both revenue and profit of customer relationships at the individual level.

Clients included a higher education publishing company, a call center, and a direct marketing agency.

Negotiated and managed the sale of the organization to a unit of Omnicom.

As An Executive:

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at a Boston-based community development bank with over $1 billion in assets. Developed a national strategy for rolling out a mortgage relief program, brought internal processes and departments up to best practices standards, and identified and hired vital personnel to accomplish the organization’s mission best.

Senior Director, Operations at a $40 million division of a pharmaceutical research organization aimed at providing research in Phase II and III-a clinical trials. Worked with scientists to improve overall profitability through improved and standardized project management processes.

Senior Director, multiple roles at a higher education publishing company where achievements included developing a digital products group, migrating traditional development and production processes to digital technologies, developing an inside sales group, and innovative strategies for increasing revenue for an external sales force. Ran strategic planning for nine years for the President of this $350 million division, both developing and leading the implementation of strategies during a rapidly changing period for the publishing industry.
